Join Hearthstone volunteers as staff as we celebrate not only National Inventors Day but also Thomas Edison’s birthday… it’s no coincidence that they are on the same day!

We will be reveling in all things Edison - the world’s greatest inventor who patented an astounding 1093 inventions - during our regularly scheduled tours.

The day will also feature live demonstrations of some of Edison’s most brilliant inventions. Edison experts will be on-hand to answer guest questions on Thomas Edison’s life and genius. Hearthstone will highlight the museum’s “Invention Convention” initiative - free K-12 curricula for local schools that teach the scientific and invention methods - helping today’s students become the inventors of tomorrow.
