As part of its support for Women’s History Month, Hearthstone will be hosting a series of four presentations made by the museum’s volunteers and staff. The series will be held on the first four Tuesdays of the month starting at 6:00 pm in Hearthstone’s Parlor.

This evening’s presentation is:

Kitty and Mary: The Lives of Hearthstone’s Two Young Women by Kaija Sweesel, Hearthstone volunteer who is the museum’s in-house Florence “Kitty” Rogers expert.  Ms. Swessel’s presentation will track the lives of these two fascinating women - one born into a life of luxury and one an immigrant born into a working class family. One of these women had a long and loving life… and it is not the one you might think.

The evening will be a thought-provoking examination of what is important in life - fortune or family?
